NY Senate Considering Ombuds to Oversee Federal Stimulus Money

A New York State Senator and Assemblymember have introduced legislation to create a dedicated federal Stimulus Ombudsman’s office. The position would be an independent watchdog charged with ensuring the expected $27 billion in federal stimulus money is spent properly in the Empire State.
