Cornell University Ombuds Retires, Prompting Internal Search for Replacement

Cornell University President David J. Skorton announced that Professor Emeritus Walter Lynn is stepping down after serving for 12 years as University Ombudsman. The university has called for nominations for internal candidates to lead the office that includes Linda B. Falkson, Associate Ombudsman, and Adam B. Kleinberger, Assistant Ombudsman.

A search committee of faculty, staff and students will recommend the next Cornell University Ombuds. Nominations may be submitted through April 4. This position is restricted to Cornell emeritus or senior faculty members, and is a part-time for a two-year term. (Cornell Ombuds Nominations.)
