IOA Webinar: Building Organizational Conflict Capacity

The International Ombudsman Association will offer a webinar titled, "Building Conflict Capability: Developing Organizational Representatives to Resolve Workplace Conflict" on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Central Time.  The session will be presented by Daniel Griffith associate faculty at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in organizational leadership, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution, diversity, and human resources management.

This webinar will examine a model for developing managers, team leaders, HR representatives, equity officers, ombudsmen and other organizational representatives to address basic workplace conflicts and communication challenges. Presenter, Daniel Griffith, will explore approaches to developing conflict capability within the workforce, including the components of an intensive five-day mediation training program that teaches professionals to facilitate meaningful communication processes among disputing parties. During this webinar, we will dive into a discussion of the pros, cons and safeguards for developing and implementing such programs.
The cost is $100 for IOA members and $125 for nonmembers.  (IOA Webinar.)
