National Park Service Appoints Experienced Ombuds to Open New Office

According to a new view posted this week, the National Park Service has appointed Scott Deyo and Segal Shoham to establish an Ombuds program for staff. Deyo will be stationed in Washington, DC and Shoham in California.

Deyo is the former for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and is the President of the Coalition of Federal Ombudsmen. Shohan has been a Conflict Resolution Specialist in the U.S. Department of the Interior for the past four years.  In addition to ADR experience, she worked for many years as a whitewater rafting guide.  She graduated from UC Berkeley and earned a masters in conflict transformation at Eastern Mennonite University.  (YouTube; LinkedIn.)
