Outreach Efforts Pay Off for University of Arizona Ombuds

Caitlan Hendrickson, who became the the Ombuds Program Director at UA in November 2015, says that the number of visitors increased 156% in 2015-16 after she focused on publicizing the service. A recent profile offers an overview of the UA Ombuds Office and Hendrickson's philosophy.

Hendrickson, who said she took this position because she’s always been a peacemaker, wants to continue working toward a campus with stronger and more positive conflict resolution. “Conflict is a natural occurrence in human interaction and existence, so being able to harness the constructive and positive aspects effectively rather than having it become destructive is important,” Hendrickson said.

Hendrickson will be teaching a pre-conference course for IOA later this week.
