IOA Opens Voting for 2019 Board

The International Ombudsman Association is holding its annual election for members of its Board of Directors. The timing is earlier than usual and the out-going management company will complete the election process before a transition. The election will fill three seats from a slate of four nominees for three-year terms starting in April 2019.  

As it has in the past, the Ombuds Blog provides links to prior posts about the candidates to supplement the official ballot statements, but does not endorse any candidates in particular:

• David Carver (incumbent) – Student Ombudsperson, University of Nebraska Medical Center
• Willem Kweens, CO-OP – West European Ombudsman, Mars Inc.
• Bruce MacAllister (incumbent) – Program Director, Office of the Ombudsman, International Foundation for Online Responsibility
• Steven Prevaux –Ombuds Officer, University of South Florida System

The election concludes on December 10, 2018, and results will be announced at the IOA annual conference in April 2019.
