AndrĂ© Marin has announced that he has withdrawn his name from consideration for reelection as President of the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman. Marin, who is the Ontario Ombudsman, thanked his colleagues and said that his tenure as President had brought him “a unique appreciation for the work of other kinds of Ombuds-type offices and the challenges that we have as a profession.” The FCO Board election will take place at the Joint FCO/ACCUO/IOA conference in April. Out of the nine Board of Director positions open for reelection, five individuals intend to stand for re-election while four, including Marin, will not. (FCO News.)
