The International Ombudsman Association will offer introductory and advanced training for Organizational Ombuds at the Hyatt Regency Toronto, October 25-29, 2010.
Programs to be offered are:
- Ombudsman 101 (October 25-27) -- A 2½-day introductory training program that covers the basic functions and skills of Ombudsmanry using an interactive format includes role play and encourages questions and discussion.
- Ombudsman 101 Plus (October 27) -- A half-day course on how to communicate the value and benefits of an Ombuds function internally to management who are considering starting an Ombudsman Office, and from the outside by an entrepreneur.
- Master Class (October 28-29) -- A two-day course for experienced Ombuds based on the master class in the music world. The first day will be dedicated to observing and discussing the styles of seasoned practitioners and the second day will give each participant the opportunity to practice different techniques and to explore and analyze the individual and systemic elements at play in the cases.
