College of William & Mary Names New Ombuds
Mark Patterson has been appointed the next Ombudsperson for the public university in Williamsburg, VA. He succeeds Tatia Granger, who recently became a Clinical Associate Professor in Organizational Behavior at the W&M's School of Business. As the full-time Ombuds, Patterson will serve nearly 2,500 campus employees and report to the Provost's office.
Patterson retired from the Air Force in 2016 at the rank of Colonel and as Chief Counsel for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. During his 24 years of service as an Air Force judge advocate, he also was an Assistant Professor of Law and Academic Advisor at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Patterson graduated from Marietta College, and earned a JD from Duke University and an LLM from Fordham University. He has also completed IOA's Foundations. (LinkedIn.)
