The public community college in Pinal County has established an Ombuds program for its faculty, staff, and students.
Armineh Noravian serves as the Lead Ombudsperson for a team of eight volunteer Ombuds. Together, they serve a total population of more than 10,000 across eight locations, providing "confidential, neutral, independent and informal assistance."
Noravian has been a faculty member at CAC for the past year and has worked at a variety of colleges since 2007. She graduated from the University of Sydney, earned an MS and MA at San Jose State University, and earned an EdD at San Francisco State University. The other CAC Ombuds volunteers are Robert Bergman, Stacie Kyhn, Veronika Mosely, Rosemary Ramirez, Sandra Rath, Christina Shepherd, Michelle Young, and Jimi VanBlaricom. (CAC Ombuds, LinkedIn.)
