Last Friday, Lisa Gelobter, the CEO of tEQuitable, was a guest on CNBC's “Squawk Alley” to talk about how her company helps companies address workplace bias and discrimination. Gelobetter launched tEQuitable in 2017 to provide Ombuds services via an online platform. In her four-minute interview, she explained how Ombuds benefit companies through data and insights for systemic change. And she also directly addressed legal concerns about confidentiality.
Gelobter brings a unique and impressive background to the Ombuds profession. After earning a degree in computer science at Brown University, she worked in product development at several tech startups including Macromedia. Later, she worked as an executive for entertainment companies expanding their online presence, including stints at NBC Universal, Hulu, and BET. Then, she served as the Chief Digital Service Officer in U.S. Department of Education. In 2020, Gelobter's testimony before the EEOC about Ombuds were included in the "Federal #MeToo" report.
