The large public research university in Fairfax County, Virginia, is hiring an University Ombudsperson. The full-time position reports to the Chief of Staff and will serve only faculty and administrators. GMU's last Ombuds served just students, but that program has been dormant since 2017 when J. Fernando Caetano departed. The position is "telework friendly."
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three to five years of Ombuds experience, along with creating, managing and delivering training and educational programs (higher education environment preferred). The position pays up to $150,000. The application window closes August 2, 2021. (GMU Jobs.)
