MGH Institute of Health Professions Debuts Ombuds Program
Patricia Lussier-Duynstee has been tapped to serve as the inaugural Ombuds for the private health sciences university in Boston. As the first Ombuds for the MGH Institute, Lussier-Duynstee will provide students to about 1,600 students on a part-time basis. She will practice to IOA standards. Lussier-Duynstee retired in 2020 with emerita status after an 18-year career as an professor and administrator in the School of Nursing at IHP.
Lussier-Duynstee's career has spanned a variety of nursing and leadership positions in healthcare and academia. She graduated from Merrimack College and earned her BSN at the University of Utah, and then completed her MS at the University of Massachusetts, Worcester, and PhD at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell/Boston.
