The City of Atlanta is seeking a full-time Ombudsman Specialist/Neighborhoods Relationship Manager. (The City advertised the position last April, but it is unclear whether that search was ever completed.) The position will report to Jodi Merriday, the City's Ombudsman of Neighborhoods and provide Ombuds services to residents following IOA and USOA standards. Merriday was appointed by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens in February and previously was the inaugural Ombudsman for the Atlanta Public Schools.
Applicants for the position must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) and three to five years of community engagement or constituent service experience. A Masters’ degree and five to seven years of progressive project management experience are preferred. The position will pay $67,000 to $90,000 per year.
