Leiden University Names New Student Ombuds

In May 2024, Lonneke Hulst was hired as a Student Ombudsperson at Universiteit Leiden. She joins Eugène van der Heijden, who has served as Student Ombuds since 2015. Together, they serve 33,000 enrolled students at the oldest university in the Netherlands.Hulst has worked in higher education since 2007 as a lecturer and student advisor. For the last year, she was a student advisor at Erasmus University Medical Center. Hulst graduated from Open Universiteit and earned an MA at Leiden University. (Leiden University Ombuds; LinkedIn.)
