The public HBCU in Houston has opened a search for a full-time Ombuds Officer. The position will report to the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and serve faculty, staff, and students, a total population of over 10,000. Previously, TSU had only a Student Ombudsman (and it is not clear who served in the role). The position will practice to IOA standards.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree and at least seven years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include a Doctoral degree and a CO-OP credential and/or IOA membership. The position will pay $73,417 to $91,771 per year and applications are due by September 20, 2024. (TSU Posting.)
