University of Wyoming Selects Next Ombuds

Don Appiarius has been appointed the new Ombudsperson for UW. He follows Nellie Haddad and her interim replacement, Narina Nunez, in the position. Appiarius will report to the University President and provide services to all members of the campus community.
Appiarius comes to the position from Pitt Community College, where he has been the VP for Student Development & Services for the past year. His 36 year career in higher education includes stints at Northern New Mexico College, University of St Francis, Shenandoah University, Salem International University, University of Illinois at Springfield, and George Mason University. He graduated from Mary Washington College, and earned and MS in conflict management at George Mason University and an EdD at Oakland City University. (UWyo News; LinkedIn.)
