Idaho's flagship public university has opened a search for its next Ombudsperson. Reporting to the University President, the full-time position serves faculty, staff member, administrators, students, and groups -- a total population of almost 15,000. The search will fill the position held by Laura Smythe, who recently moved to a similar position at Iowa State University.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience and progressive responsibility in applying related policies, rules, and regulations. An advanced degree, experience in an academic setting, and training and experience in mediation, conflict resolution, and/or counseling, are preferred. The position pays $77,292 or higher, depending on qualifications. The position will be open until filled. (UIdaho Posting.)
