Loudoun County Public Schools Selects Inaugural Ombuds
Carey Williams has been appointed the first Ombudsman for LCPS, the public school district in northeast Virginia with 84,000 students. In this full-time role, Williams will work with families, employees and community members, practicing to IOA standards and reporting to the district's Chief of Staff.
Williams brings two decades of school district experience to the position. She comes to the position from Prince William County Public Schools (which also has an Ombuds program), where she was the Title IX and Student Equity Investigator. She has also worked at Fairfax County Public Schools as a coordinator for Equity and Student Conduct. Williams graduated from Wingate University and earned a Master's at Ohio University.
