The Census Bureau is growing the Ombuds program and is hiring an Associate Ombuds. The full-time position will be based either in the Washington, D.C. metro area (Suitland, MD) or in the Louisville metro area (Jeffersonville, Indiana). The position will report to the Census Bureau Ombuds, Bill Maurer, CO-OP, and join two Associate Ombuds, Julie Smith and Chris Vermillion. Occasional travel may be required and telework may also be possible. Relocation expenses may be paid.
Applicants must have significant experience including resolving complex conflicts as a neutral party, making unbiased recommendations, advising senior leadership, and collaborating to resolve complex and sensitive workplace conflicts. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. The salary range for the GS-14/GS-15 position is $116,393 to $183,500 per year and applications are due by November 20, 2023.
