Susana Rodriguez has been appointed the Ombudsperson for WWF, the global conservation. She follows Gina Barbieri, who established the role in 2021. Rodriguez reports to the WWF Director General and International Board, and serves internal and external stakeholders. According to an announcement from WWF, she will take the Ombuds program "from its foundational design to its operational phase."
Rodriguez comes to the position from the International Finance Corporation, where she was an Environmental and Social Development Specialist for the past five years. Prior to that, she was a Compliance and Dispute Resolution Specialist with the Green Climate Fund. She also managed the Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman program for the World Bank Group. Rodriguez graduated from Davidson College and earned an MA in International Relations, Conflict Management and International Economics at Johns Hopkins. (WWF Press Release; LinkedIn.)
