The Austria-based international development organization for children is hiring National Ombuds in the capital city of Amman. The full-time, six-month contract position is expected to report to Sambieni Bienvenu, the SOS Regional Ombuds for West, Central & North Africa.
As typical for SOS Ombuds, this position require a relevant Bachelor's degree, at least five years of related experience (including three years working with children), and proficiency in the local languages. Note: The Organizational Ombuds who were originally on the SOS Ombuds Board (Katherine Greenwood and Nicholas Diehl) have departed, leaving only Classical Ombudsmen and child advocates in oversight positions.
