Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is seeking its next Staff Ombudsman. The full-time position will serve more than 6,000 faculty and staff with workplace concerns. The Ombuds reports administratively to the Executive Board while maintaining an independent role. The search will fill a position held most recently by Michiel Geursen and supplements the work of Pelin Zenginoğlu, the Student Ombudsman.

Applicants should have extensive experience with conflict resolution, mediation, or complaint handling, strong organizational sensitivity, and an academic level of work and thinking. The position offers a salary of €75,432 to €91,818 per year (CAO NU scale 13), plus the university's standard benefits, including an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus.
