World Food Programme's Expanded Ombuds Office Reports Case Growth in 2022
In 2022, the WFP expanded its Office of the Ombudsman and Mediation Services when Dolores Gómez-Morán, CO-OP, joined Ombudsman and Director, Gabrielle Kluck. According to a just-released annual report, the office was was able to meet the need of a huge increase in visitor demand. In 2022, the WFP Ombuds recorded 692 visitors, a 60 percent increase over the previous three years and more than three times the number of cases in 2016. Last year, the office made 23 field visits, which lead to a significant grown in visitors from field employees. The full report will be given to the WFP Executive Board next month.
