Job Posting: Oregon State University

OSU seeks to hire an Interim University Ombuds for a one-year contract. (OSU's University Ombuds Office has seen significant turnover recently: Sue Theiss, OSU's founding Ombuds moved to Seattle University in March; Breanne Taylor then became the Interim University Ombuds, but recently moved to another position at the university; leaving only Associate Ombuds Robynn M. Pease, who joined the program in May.) The new search will suspend the prior search for a permanent University Ombuds. The full-time position leads an office that provides Ombuds services to over 40,000 faculty, staff, students, and administrators.

Applicants must have an advanced degree and at least three years of professional experience. Mediation training, higher ed experience, and supervisory experience as an Ombuds are preferred. No salary or application deadline indicated. (OSU Posting.)
