Transitions at Oregon State University Include New Associate Ombuds

Robynn M. Pease, has joined the OSU University Ombuds Office as an Associate Ombuds. She reports to Breanne Taylor, who has has been promoted to Interim University Ombuds following the departure of the founding Ombuds, Sue Theiss. Together, they provide Ombuds services to over 40,000 faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders at the public land-grant, research university in Corvallis.


Pease brings over two decades of experience, including over 10 years as a Long-term Care Ombudsman. In addition, she was a Faculty Ombuds with the OSU Ombuds Office from 2016 to 2020. She has held other positions at the Greater Oregon Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, University of Kentucky, Lexington-Fayette Urban-County Government, and Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass. Pease has also been an instructor in sociology and social gerontology at Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. She holds a doctorate in Sociology with expertise in aging and social inequalities. (OSU Ombuds Office.)
