Loyola Marymount University Names Ombuds

Johnny Armijo has been hired as the first full-time Ombuds for faculty and staff at the private Jesuit university in Los Angeles. He follows Ariane White, who served in the role on a part-time basis for the past two years. Meanwhile, Roy Pereira continues as the inaugural Ombuds for Students.

Armijo comes from the State Department, where he was one of a group of Ombuds hired in November 2024 to expand the program. Prior to that he established Ombuds offices for California State University, Monterey Bay, and the University of Northern Colorado. (LinkedIn.)
