The community college just outside Washington, D.C. has opened a search for a full-time Ombuds. The position reports to the College President, follows IOA standards, and serves employees. Previously, the MC Ombuds was a part-time position and was held by Sarah Miller Espinosa.
Applicants must have a master’s degree or professional degree, training in mediation and/or other forms of dispute resolution, and at least five years relevant work experience. A JD or master’s degree in human resources, conflict resolution, labor relations, organizational behavior, psychology or another related field, and Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner (CO-OP) are preferred qualifications. The position pays $70,138-$94,848 and applications are due April 5, 2015. (MC Jobs.)
