Amy Sereday, CO-OP, has been appointed the first Ombuds for the private college in Western Massachusetts. She is establishing a program to serve about 5,000 faculty, staff, and students, following IOA standards and reporting to the College President. In addition to serving as the Springfield College Ombuds, she will continue teaching in the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program at Columbia University.
Sereday comes to the position from Connecticut College, where she had been the Faculty & Staff Ombuds for over three years. She has been a mediator in private practice and has also taught mediation at Holyoke Community College and Gateway Community College. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University and earned an MS at Columbia University. Applicants must have relevant Master's degree and one to three years of directly related experience, and be CO-OP (or eligible). No salary or closing date indicated.
