American Red Cross Adds Associate Ombuds

Dawn Miller Sander has joined the Red Cross as an Associate Ombudsman. She position reports to the Corporate Ombudsman, Jacqueline Villafañe, CO-OP, and serves a wide range of stakeholders, including employees and volunteers, recipients of services, donors, suppliers, partners, and the general public. Last year, the Red Cross Ombuds handled about 800 cases.

Sander has been working in dispute resolution since 2006. Most recently, she has been a mediator and on-call Ombuds in Washington, DC, and Austin, Texas, with Conflict Transformation Associates, LLC. She graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland University and earned a Master's in Conflict Transformation at Eastern Mennonite University. (LinkedIn.)
