CC emeritus professor Libby Rittenberg has been selected to serve a two-year term as the part-time Ombudsperson for the small, private liberal arts college. The appointment indicates the college has decided to implement a permanent Ombuds program after a trial program that began in 2010. Rittenberg succeeds emeritus professor Jane Cauvel who established the Ombuds office for faculty and staff.
Rittenberg recently retired after serving as dean of summer programs and teaching as a professor of economics since 1989. She graduated from Simmons College and earned her Masters and PhD from Rutgers University. (Around the Block.)
