The health sciences university in Oakland, California is hiring its first Ombuds. The part-time Ombudsperson will serve about 2,000 faculty, staff, administrators, and students. The position will operate according to IOA and Standards of Practice of Independence, Neutrality, Impartiality, and Confidentiality.
Applicants should have a master's degree in a relevant field (conflict resolution, counseling, labor relations, human resources management, student affairs or equivalent); one year experience as an Ombuds in higher education; and three years' experience in a university setting or educational setting.
