Job Posting: Peralta Community College District

PCCD, the community college system serving Alameda County, is recruiting an Organizational Ombuds (District) based in Oakland, California. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Chancellor that will serve faculty, staff, and students across the district’s four colleges following IOA standards. In addition, the Ombuds will oversee a Peer Conflict Services Program.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, at least four years of ADR experience, and five years of full-time administrative or management experience. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and advanced mediation training or certification. The salary range is $155,695–$184,004 annually and applications are due January 30, 2026. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
