Survey: Unclear Expectations Top Reason New Hires Quit

According to a survey of more than 2,000 HR and training executives, unrealistic expectations about their job and their new organization is a major reason why as many as one-fourth of new hires leave within the first year. The clear theme of the survey results is that employees and companies do not adequately communicate enough information to ensure a good match. The experts advise companies to work on creating community so that employees have a sense of community. (HR News.)
