The public university in Alabama has appointed C. Kevin Coonrod as its next Ombudsperson.
Reporting to Auburn's President, Coonrod will provide independent,
confidential, impartial and informal assistance to a community of about
28,000. He takes over from Retired State Circuit Judge Howard Bryan, who had been serving as the Interim Ombuds.
Coonrod most recently served as the mentor mediator at the Dispute Resolution Center of King County, Washington. He earned his JD from the Idaho College of Law and has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. He was a speaker at the IOA conference in Miami. (Alabama ADR News.)
