The University of California in Davis has hired Rita Callahan to serve as an Associate Ombudsperson. She joins Director Susan Kee-Young Park,
who opened the Ombuds Office and has been serving the campus single-handedly since April 2013. Callahan started on October 15.
Callahan is an experienced ADR practitioner from New York. For the past six years, she has been a Senior Organizational Internal Consultant for ConEdison. In addition, as a consultant, she worked with federal agencies, non-profits, and other organizations. Callahn has been a mediator since 1995. She has been a board member of the Association for
Conflict Resolution and its New York chapter, chaired a committee for the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution, and is an editorial board member of Conflict Resolution Quarterly. She graduated from SUNY Brockport and earned a Master’s in
