Job Posting: World Health Organization, Congo

The UN agency that focuses on international public health is hiring a Regional Ombudsman to be based in Brazzaville, the capital and largest city of the Republic of the Congo. The full-time position will serve an initial two-year contract. Issa Sanou has held the post since 2008.

Applicants must have an advanced university degree or equivalent in public health, management, administration, social science, law, organizational development or related area; and at least ten years of relevant work experience, including at least five years in ADR or as a Ombuds and at least five years management experience. Desirable qualifications include experience of management in international, intergovernmental organization, government or national public institutions; accreditation as a Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner (CO-OP); mediation certification; and training and/or experience in ADR in major business/corporate conflicts. Applicants must have expert knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of French. Beginners knowledge of Portuguese also desirable. Applications are due by January 11, 2019. (WHO Careers.)
