The United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services is hiring a Conflict Resolution Officer to be based in Goma, DRC. The position will provide informal conflict resolution services to UN staff in MONUSCO (the UN's Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo), as well as other peacekeeping missions in the region. The position reports to the Regional Ombudsman, Youssoupha Niang.
Applicants must have advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area or equivalent experience; and at least five years of professional experience. Experience in informal conflict resolution issues in an international setting is preferred. For this post, English and French fluency are required. Applications are due April 7, 2019. (UN Careers.)
