University of California Santa Barbara Selects an Associate Ombuds

In September 2025, Pati Montojo was joined the Ombuds team at UCSB as an Associate Ombuds. The filled a position vacated by Don Lubach and reports to the Campus Ombuds, Caroline Adams. Montojo will work with faculty, staff, and student visitors.

Montojo is a licensed bilingual Spanish-speaking psychologist and has worked at UCSB since 2018 as Manager of the Academic and Staff Assistance Program. Prior to that, she was a lecturer and clinical supervisor at Palo Alto University. Montojo earned graduated from San Diego State University, and earned a MA from Santa Clara University and PhD from UCSB. (UCSB Ombuds.)
