Resolution Institute Presents Session with Aukland Ombuds

The professional association for dispute resolution practitioners in Australia, New Zealand (Aotearoa), and the Asia Pacific region will offer a presentation by Wayne Marriott on the evening of July 10, 2025. Marriott the inaugural Ombuds for Auckland University of Technology and is the President-Elect of the IOA Board of Directors. The event will be hosted by AUT and is open to the public.

Connect | Auckland - The work of an Ombuds in Organisational Conflict 

Share our vision of connecting the wider community of dispute resolvers, restorative justice practitioners, lawyers, and anyone interested in peacemaking. Join us and friends for a monthly evening of sharing knowledge, stories, and ideas. 

This month we have the rare opportunity and great privilege of hearing from Wayne Marriott about an area of dispute resolution that not many of us are familiar with: the work of an ombudsman. 

Wayne will be talking about the rise of organisational conflict competence in Aotearoa New Zealand. Wayne is the inaugural Organisational Ombuds for AUT and will share with fellow dispute resolvers the methodology of Ombuds work, it’s standards of practice, and hope for the future. Wayne is in year four of a six-year term as a director of the International Ombuds Association serving as President-elect in 2025, and President in 2026.
