The flagship campus of the University of Arkansas System in Fayetteville is hiring a Director of Student Ombuds Services. "The Director represents the Vice Provost of Student Affairs/Dean of Students with respect to the ombudsman function for students in policy matters across the University, ensures equitable treatment of students of the University community, and facilitates the resolution of student problems and complaints with other students, faculty and staff." The search will fill the position vacated by Sue Theiss, who was recently appointed the Ombuds for Oregon State University.
Applicants must have a master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field; 3-5 years of mediation and/or student dispute resolution experience.
