Earlier this month, the Fuels and Petrochemicals Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) presented its annual outstanding achievement award to S. Shariq Yosufzai, Chevron Corporation's new Vice President of Global Diversity, Ombuds, and University Affairs.
In an interview after the award, Yosufzai explained that his office helps engage employees and this significantly improves company productivity.
Yosufazi, who became Chevron's Ombuds in January 2013, has worked in the petrochemical industry for nearly four decades. He graduated from Texas A&M University. He has chaired boards of the California Chamber of Commerce, Association Former Students of Texas A&M University and is an Societal Impact Operating Council of AIChE, and served on several other philanthropic boards.
