John Armijo has been appointed as the Associate Ombudsperson at UCSD. Armijo has more than 20 years of experience in law and dispute resolution, and has worked as a mediator and in various capacities in professional alternative dispute resolution settings, including having spent six years as an Ombuds in the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
Prior to his time at LANL, Armijo served as the Conflict Resolution Specialist and Organizational Development Liaison for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, coordinated the Federal Interagency Shared Neutrals Program, and was an EEO Counselor and Mediator with Fish & Wildlife. He graduated from University of New Mexico and earned his JD from the UNM School of Law. He joins UCSD Director and Ombudsperson, Judy Bruner, and Associate Director and Ombudsperson, Nancy E. James.
