After three decades as the MIT Ombudsperson, Toni Robinson has retired. Robinson will be celebrated by the campus on September 29, 2017.
Before coming to MIT, Robinson was the Deputy Ombudsman for the Social Security Administration (1990-93) and Manager for Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity (1993-95). She worked extensively as a mediator and trainer before and throughout her tenure at MIT. She earned an MS in behavioral science from Johns Hopkins University and a JD from the Seattle University School of Law. In 2015, Robinson received the institute's highest staff honor.
