The UC Berkeley Staff Ombuds Office has confirmed Júlia Horváth, CO-OP, as Associate Ombudsperson. She was promoted to the position after serving as Assistant Ombudsperson from 2016 - 2017 and as Interim Associate Ombudsperson in 2018.
“Júlia is dedicated to Berkeley staff. Her ability to deeply listen to employees, to help them identify the root causes of workplace problems, and to assist in finding creative problem-solving solutions that best meet their needs are some of Julia’s greatest strengths,” said Sara Thacker, Director of the Staff Ombuds Office. At Berkeley, Júlia teaches several workshops for staff, including Workplace Civility: Respect in Action and tailored trainings on various conflict resolution topics for departments.
