The academic medical center in Portland is hiring a Ombudsman, a role that was established by Merle Graybill in 2015 as a part-time position. The job now is full-time. Reporting to the provost, the OHSU Ombuds works with employees, students, and trainees.
Applicants must have an advanced degree in mediation, conflict or dispute resolution or another field with relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include: a PhD and/or research experience including managing a research program and/or laboratory; Experience in an academic environment; and Active involvement in an Ombudsman professional association.
