AllianceBernstein Ombuds Posts Annual Report and Video

In her "2011 Report to Employees from Your Ombudsman," Sana Manjeshwar reports that she met with 68 individuals in the past year, nearly 2% of all employees. The cases presented 212 issues, the majority of which related to personnel and management, and job and career issues.

The Ombudsman for the global investment management firm also released a video introducing herself and her office. (AllianceBerstein Ombuds.)

Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals. The term "Ombuds" is shorthand for "Ombudsman," "Ombudsperson" and "Ombuds Officer," which also are used widely.
