Job Posting; United Nations, Chile

The United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services has opened a search for a Regional Ombudsman in Santiago, Chile.  The position will head the regional branch, reporting directly to the Chief of Office of UNOMS and provide services to UN staff in the region and others as assigned.


Applicants must have advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area or equivalent experience, at least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience, including five years experience at the international level in dispute resolution, managerial and/or legal.  Training in alternative dispute resolution and experience in the region is desirable. For this post fluency in written and oral English and Spanish is required, knowledge of one of the other official languages of the UN Secretariat (both oral and written) is desirable. (UN Jobs.)
