The university near Edinburgh, Scotland has announced the a new masters degree qualification for professional complaint handlers. QMU’s Consumer Insight Centre developed the MSc course after a long collaboration with the Ombudsman Association and the International Ombudsman Institute.
Chris Gill, who will head the program, told the Daily Record: “There is clearly work to be done to improve standards across the complaint handling industry and the provision of professional education is only one piece in an undoubtedly complex puzzle. We feel that it’s now the right time to speed up effort to develop professionalism in the complaints sector.” Students may begin enrolling in January 2015. (UK Daily Record.)
