Job Posting: Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The FDIC is hiring an Internal Ombudsman Specialist.  The position serves as a "neutral source for internal agency employees to raise concerns, identify options, and request assistance to informally resolve conflict and problems." The position is thus quite different from the existing FDIC Ombuds program that serves local customers of banks taken over by the agency.

Applicants must have relevant experience (e.g. program coordinator for workplace improvement activities with senior managers and other subject-matter experts; negotiating and facilitating in order to resolve problems; coordinating, facilitating, and supporting, employee engagement/workplace improvements forums and activities; etc.). The job is located in Washington, DC and some travel is required. A background investigation will be required. The GS-13/14 position pays $91,503.00 to $178,902 per year and applications are due August 27, 2013. (Federal Government Jobs.)
